THE HOSTS OF OPEN MIC FOR A CAUSE

Rod and Elana are the hosts of Open Mic for a Cause.  Both have played in bands in the Richmond area for a number of years.  Rod has been playing the drums/percussion for over 20 years.  He has played for such groups as SteppinStone, Barbie-n-Bondage and CBJ.  Elana LIsa has been singing in bands for over 20 years.  Originally from New York, her first band was an all female group called Kali-Co which later morphed  into Mistress.  She fronted the band SteppinStone, in Richmond for 9 years.  She also sang with the band King Edward and the BD's.  Currently she fronts the band, Mim (an acoustic rock group) with Rod on the drums.  She also performs with the Elana Hyner Trio playing jazz standards.   Rod and Elana provide a fun and friendly atmosphere for performers and audiences alike.
